Non SonnetI will not write you a sonnet. I know It would be trite. I will not stoop to that; Leave a dead offering at your feet. No. No, I refuse to be that kind of cat. I won’t use obscure allusions to vent, No wilful references to Shakespeare. I will not ask if a malevolent Pomegranate is why you’re never here. Nor commit the crime (arguably worse) Of using word-play [so-so assonance, Pedantic pentameter, blank-faced verse Or half rhyme] to get into your…descants.
